Mines of apparent Cardassian origin have been discovered in Federation territory near Bajor. There is a possibility that the mines have been covertly redirected by Cardassian forces to test Starfleet surveillance of the area. These mines pose a direct threat to Federation shipping channels. All these mines must be catalogued and destroyed.
Mission goals:
1) Detect location of the mines.
2) Confirm the origin of the mines.
3) Destroy them.
